According to the interest of African countries to get technical assistances from the Agency, an Agreement has been signed with the Agency (AFRA Agreement). The AFRA Agreement leads to the concentration on the activities and cooperation in the field of nuclear science and technology in the field of nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, agriculture, maintenance of scientific and medical equipment and radiation protection and waste management.
